Bianca Noland: The Lifelong Entrepreneur

Hello there! My name is Bianca Noland, and I am currently a junior at Florida State University majoring in Commercial Entrepreneurship. Since I was a child, I always found myself turning my hobbies into side hustles and was constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to make myself a little bit of money. As time went on, I had developed a growing passion for entrepreneurship and had figured out my dreams of wanting to own multiple businesses as I get older. Thinking back, watching my surrounding family members and friends turn their business into a success has also been an inspiration of mine. With my acceptance to Florida State through the CARE program, I have slowly but surely been able to make my dream of being an entrepreneur turn into my reality.

I was accepted into the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship, where I am constantly given the opportunity to work with other goal-oriented students to build micro-businesses and learn about the different aspects of business. With an internship in mind, I applied and became a part of the 2022 Tech Fellows internship program where we focus on working alongside startup companies to gain fundamental skills. Throughout the program, I aim to make sure I get the most out of my experience with working with David, the members of the cohort, and with my potential incubator. Seeing that the incubator’s primary focus is to help smaller companies grow, I plan to come out of this internship with more knowledge in understanding the different steps and processes needed to reach certain milestones within a startup’s journey of success.

As a young female entrepreneur, it is important to develop and improve soft and hard entrepreneurial skills, and I believe this internship will allow me to do just that. Although I am not completely aware of everything that will be in store for me during this internship, I seek to have an unforgettable experience that will allow me to strengthen my networking abilities and create meaningful relationships with other business-oriented people. I am extremely excited to work with mentors and those with industry expertise to increase my exposure in working to grow businesses from the ground up. With a few personal projects in the making, I hope my time working with my incubator will permanently shape the way I think and will guide me in developing new strategies and tactics when it comes to market viability, management, and marketing. Altogether, I look forward to this once-in-a-lifetime experience and cannot wait to prosper as a student and as an upcoming entrepreneur.
