The routine here has been erratic to say the least some days we head to the university for research, other days we spend studying and getting other items completed. However during our calmer days at the university we have been able to learn equipment use for testing that will be conducting soon.

Indian Lagoon
This weekend, I had a very unique experience throughout my experience thus far at the FSU Coastal and Marine Laboratory. On Sunday, June 18th, I stayed in one of the on-site dorms at FSUCML. It was a nice experience and reminded me of the dorm I used to live in during my freshman year hereContinue reading “Indian Lagoon”

All of our personalities blendContinue reading “Initial experiences starting to help REU exploring Muslim Hate Crime Victimization in Little Rock, Arkansas (Week 1)”
Learning Something New
As I have entered into my second to last week of my experience, the staff at the laboratory has begun to trust me with various tasks. I have mentioned in most of my previous blogs that the community at the FSU Coastal and Marine lab is extremely welcoming and friendly. Through this warm environment, IContinue reading “Learning Something New”

Legal Aid Inequalities and Capstone Project
Now that I’ve had more time to adjust to my internship with the IRC, I’ve been able to spot some structural inequalities in my community. This week, I covered one of our tables in an effort to spread the word about human trafficking in partnership with the Legal Aid Foundation of Tallahassee. While tabling, IContinue reading “Legal Aid Inequalities and Capstone Project”
