Hey, I’m Yasmine and I’m a Behavioral Neuroscience major (women in STEM š¤). I’m from Pensacola, FL (I miss the beaches), but my parents are from Tunisia.
I’m excited to be going back home for the summer! I’m definitely gonna take as much time as I can to unwind and just rot in bed. But I’m gonna be getting back to the grind by the end of June. I’m going to be working with CGE this Summer to help international students adjust to campus while they prepare to be sent to Orlando to take a course at Disney. I’m pretty excited!
I always love to learn about cultures different from my own, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to do that while helping out the international students. I also wanna have fun! We’re planning some cool activities with the international students and I’m really hoping people feel comfortable enough by then to enjoy themselves.
I’m a bit worried about the workload because in the interview they mentioned that it’s a pretty intense position. However, I think I’d rather be kept busy because I think I work pretty well under stress. As long as I’m enjoying what I’m doing and I feel productive, that’ll be enough. Obviously though, I’d also like some me time.
That’s it for me. Good luck to everyone else with their summer experiences!
