Hi! My name is David Garner. I’m from Gainesville, Florida, and a sophomore at Florida State University. I am studying Political Science and International Affairs as a member of the FSU Honors Program on a pre-law track.
This Summer I am interning with Student PIRGs, a non-profit, non-partisan organization that focuses on student advocacy. I will be working remote in Tallahassee as a civic engagement leader which helps colleges and universities across the country develop action plans to increase voter turnout for future election cycles.
I expect to learn a lot of leadership skills from this experience as I will be leading the efforts of reaching out to colleges across the United States and formulating a voting plan for them. I am very excited to get more students involved in our country’s political process as each US citizen has the constitutional right to vote.
