Inhabiting Different Spaces

I created a Venn diagram of sorts of things people associate me with in my different communities. One from my time in the city and another from my time in the town, and I have inserted a picture of it. I feel that before I started this experiment, I didn’t quite identify with the researcher or being seen as an anomaly of sorts. I have always found myself more salient of my marginalized identities and, frankly, not very empowered. After my experience, I found myself very empowered and found that my identities that had to do more with who I was and what I did stood out to people the most and helped me better understand the spaces I inhabit.
