Introducing Myself

Hello, my name is Tyliah and I am a psychology major. I am from Miami, Florida, and will be graduating in December. I am going to Ghana this summer to volunteer at a school for disabled children. I will be working alongside therapists to provide emotional support techniques for the students. I hope to make an impact on the community that I am going to serve, as well as immerse myself in a new culture. I am a bit anxious about the culture shock that is bound to happen. I am also a bit nervous about not knowing certain Ghanian customs and potentially offending another person. I am preparing by doing some research on the culture ahead of time.
