As my internship with StarterStudio is nearly coming to an end, it has been clear that building an entrepreneurial community is one of StarterStudio’s main priorities, especially during the unforeseen circumstances we face today. Through the use of daily educational programming, coaching, mentoring opportunities, and workshops, StarterStudio has shown nothing but dedication to maintain and strengthen Central Florida’s tech startup ecosystem.
As a program management intern, I can testify that StarterStudio’s team strives to improve their programming and overall planning to empower founders to discover their potential, take risks, test ideas, take action, and most importantly foster a community. For instance, since COVID-19 has presented restrictions to the physical incubator, StarterStudio has made it their goal to not only continue their programming virtually but innovate a new way to conduct their Pitch Nights to a remarkable virtual experience.
Usually, Pitch Night at StarterStudio is an event that occurs once a month with the main purpose to unify the community through the exchange of innovative new ideas, networking, and the practice of elevator pitches. Even though Pitch Nights isn’t being conducted how it normally is, StarterStudio has not backed down on the idea and is planning new propositions through creating new partnerships and using modern technology to make the experience as wonderful as the regular Pitch Nights.
Additionally, StarterStudio has created a recent group via LinkedIn known as “StarterStudio Founders Forum” to uphold an ecosystem where founders can help and uplift one another, even throughout times of uncertainty. This platform can serve as a catalyst for discussion, networking with the Orlando tech community, exclusive content, and most importantly, a platform to strengthen the community to connect among coaches, experts, and other entrepreneurs. StarterStudio is consistently taking the best measures to continue towards the path of success not only for the incubator itself, but for the larger Central Florida tech startup community.
