This summer, I want to expand my impact by developing stronger personal routines like consistent reflection, time management, but also to prioritize self-care which I think will help me better support those around me. I hope that I can become more present and reliable for my friends, family, and community by being able to support myself and others around me. Volunteering at the hospital and engaging in research have already allowed me to contribute meaningfully to my local sphere, and I hope to build on that by deepening my service mindset and learning how I can make a difference globally in the future. I also recently heard a quote from the CIA that said, “everyone is worth a cup of coffee” and I really loved this quote and hope to be able to act on it to influence my attitude that I should hold high value to every conversation and interaction with everyone that I may meet because there is something special in each interaction of every sphere. Additionally, sphere of impact that I contribute towards builds on the last, and I believe real change starts from within. – Samuel Salib
