I am currently three weeks into interning in Belize, and I am learning so much. I have had great experiences of presenting a PowerPoint on juvenile delinquency to the mental health board, witnessing clinical interviews, aid in paperwork and help clientele. While also aiding in forensic evaluations and talking to prisoners. This experience alone has allowed me to truly identify what I am passionate about. Traveling from a clinic in one city to another allowed me to feel the cultural exchange and the community in Belize. I have travelled to almost every corner district during the weekdays so during the weekends I ensure to see the beautiful beaches offered here. I try not to limit myself from exploring because it means I wouldn’t want to stay in the same spheres as before.
