Hey guys! This past spring I prepared for my summer experience by brainstorming project ideas, filling out forms and paperwork necessary to leave the country, and meeting with individuals to prepare the criteria for my project idea. Over the summer, I realized I did not have the proper resources to complete my initial project idea, but I could switch gears and still have an amazing project!
Although I was upset that my initial project plan could not work, I am grateful for the alternative option. Through my project, I can compare my experiences in the three different program locations, providing context as to the impact of tourism on post-war locations. Analyzing the impacts of war and tourism also provides insight into the individual and community’s experience.
I will continue my Global Scholars experience in the fall by applying to graduate school programs, looking for job opportunities, and applying the knowledge gained to my FSU experience. I am excited to implement the changes of my Capstone Project to my fall plans and be able to speak with individuals about what I learned this summer.
