Where I Go

Hi!

With being back in my home city of Orlando as compared to Tallahassee, the places I most often frequent have changed. The places I most often go are my job at Winn Dixie, volunteering with Second Harvest, and then the gym (sometimes). Before this summer experience I usually just frequented the FSU campus, going to class, various dorms, the dining hall, etc. FSU campus is a condensed area, but Orlando and the places I frequent are far more spread out, because while my job and gym are close to the house, Second Harvest is on the other side of Orlando around half an hour away.

I’ve fallen into a nice routine of either working or volunteering for the day and it’s been a nice productive summer. Something interesting I learned was that Winn Dixie is actually a contributor to Second Harvest and helps alleviate hunger with excess stock they might have. Working at a grocery store and at a food bank means i’m around food a lot, i’ve given it a lot more thought than I normally would.
