Solidarity in Japan is one that I have found to be extremely beneficial. Especially, in terms of population and children comutes in Japan. Like any other country, Japan has its ups and downs, but one thing that I have noticed is that as a community they will do small things without seeking a reward back.
For example, while waiting for the bus, no one pushes or crams into you. No one screams at you to move. They hold a lot of patience when it comes to waiting. On the train, people will make lines so others can come off. These selfless acts create an environment that makes things move fast but also considers others. Furthermore, students will walk and ride trains as young as 6 years old. No one will harm these children, more so adults take care of them. It is sort of like society all helping each other live better.
Japan has been pretty cool to experience so far.
