My routine

My current routine for my internship with Uganda Development and Health Associates has become pretty normal for me. Every Sunday, we organize a meeting with the entire team. During this meeting, we discuss what work needs to be done for the week and distribute roles to each team member. Depending on the timeframe and urgency of each task, I typically distribute my portion of work Monday through Thursday with occasional meetings with my smaller subgroup of volunteers throughout the week. On Fridays, we attend another Zoom meeting with our intern director, who lives in Uganda and gives us weekly updates on initiatives, needs, and ideas, and the team of interns discusses what has been accomplished that week, whether that be grant proposals, edits to the Uganda Development and Health Associates website, or prospective grants to apply for. These biweekly meetings implemented into our weekly routine allow for structure, accountability, and communication not only amongst interns but also with a direct source of communication in Uganda that allows us to keep on track and motivate our team. Although on a week-by-week basis, jobs and workload change, our current routine initiates organization and communication when it comes to getting work done effectively and efficiently.
