One of the best parts of conducting a qualitative research study mostly from my computer, is the flexibility it allows for my routine. Although I am sitting down and working for large portions of my day (at least 4 hours daily) I can break up my workload logically and work from almost anywhere that has a wifi connection.
Pictured above is me notetaking on a few studies I downloaded before boarding my plane to Prague. I have always loved getting work done when I am in transport and an eight-hour flight posed a perfect opportunity to do so! This picture exemplifies my ability to work on my project from practically anywhere.
Although my summer experience is about to transition from my research project exploring the human and civil rights implications of predictive policing to learning about human rights theory and history in Prague, Czechia, I am very grateful for all I have accomplished so far. Furthermore, the lessons I learn about human rights protections and history will help me to strengthen my preliminary conclusions before my research project is transitioned into my honors in the major thesis.
My routine is about to undergo a big change, as Prague will be quite different from Pasco County, Florida, but I couldn’t be more excited!
