A very relaxing transition into my Internship at Fisiolife, Vale!

As a pre-med student, my internship at Fisiolife, a renowned Physical Therapy clinic in Valencia, Spain, has been an incredible learning experience. Fisiolife offers a diverse range of therapeutic services, including:

  • Physical Therapy
  • Osteopathy
  • Therapeutic Pilates
  • Podiatry
  • Massages

I’ve had the opportunity to assist in various treatments, but one of the most engaging experiences has been working with patients experiencing discomfort in their scapula area muscles. I’ve specifically helped with massages aimed at relieving muscle tension and improving mobility.

A key tool we use at Fisiolife is the therapeutic ultrasound device. This advanced equipment, combined with a special ultrasound gel, delivers deep heat to targeted tissues, increasing blood flow, reducing inflammation, and promoting healing.

My hands-on experience with this device has deepened my appreciation for the connections between therapeutic techniques and their impact on patient recovery.

Connecting with the locals has been easy since I speak the language fluently, and I’ve even tried Valencia’s famous dish, Paella!

This internship has solidified my passion for the medical field and provided me with invaluable insights into physical therapy and rehabilitation. I look forward to continuing my medical journey, equipped with the knowledge and experience gained at Fisiolife.
