Meet me!

Hello! My name is Victoria (but you can all call me Vicky) and here is my first, introductory blog post! I am a first year (now going into second year) student here at Florida State University. I am studying Cell and Molecular Neuroscience with a potential double major in Physics. I am also double minoring in Chemistry and Sociology whilst on the Pre-Med track. My career goals are to become a physician in the future, practicing somewhere in the United States. My personal interests include: hiking, walking my dog Winston, swimming, working out, meditating, yoga, drawing, reading, and playing the piano. For the Summer of 2024, I will be volunteering in a neuroscience lab for 7 weeks.

This will serve both as a special interest occupation, and as my Global Scholars experience. I will be learning about the research that is going on within the lab and how community plays its part when conducting research. This experience will be going on domestically, and within my hometown, Miami FL. I am already a part of research opportunities back as FSU, but I am excited to finally be entering the research field outside of university! Can’t wait to see how it goes! Hope all of my fellow cohort members are having a great time at their experiences so far.

This is Vicky, signing off for now!

Hello! I'm Victoria, but I usually go by Vicky. I am a first year at Florida State University, set to graduate in Spring 2027. I am currently pursuing a major in Cell and Molecular Neuroscience with a potential double major in Physics, and two minors in Chemistry and Sociology. I am on the pre-medical track and aim to pursue either a MD or dual MD/PhD in some sort of science-related field. For my hobbies, I love yoga, hiking, swimming, and just being outside!
