I’m a third-year Latin American and International Relations student at FSU. I come from Lima, Peru but at a very young age I moved to Miami,FL where I spent majority of my life.
Due to the lack of connection I have with my native country, this summer I will be internship with an organization called Casa Mantay in Cusco, Peru. This organizations focuses on reintegrating young-teenage mothers back to society since they were affected by gender violence. This is a topic that truly interest me, which is why my expectations are truly high because I’m excited to learn so much.
Thankfully, I don’t have many worries towards my experience, the only thing on my mind is adjusting to the altitude—but I find that totally doable!
