Solidarity Through Common Goals

As a leader in student activism, I have been leading a group of students on a campaign promoting the restoration of America’s Wildlife.  Through this, I have seen the true power of solidarity which is defined as a unity or agreement of feeling or action, especially among individuals with a common interest. In order to achieve change, my group of students are united in a common goal of achieving more sustainable environments for species. Therefore, change can only be achieved when there is a common goal in mind and people can work together towards it. That is where my job as a student activist leader comes in. I help bring people together and help them see the vision so that we can promote change and ultimately have a better society.

During my experience, I have seen solidarity come out most strong for issues that many people are impacted by. For example, the environment impacts all of us and habit destruction leading to the loss of species is an issue that people are concerned about. This issue that I have been leading efforts on is an issue where I see solidarity come out most.
