Graduation: Then and Now

High school graduation, May 2022, it seems like an eternity ago I was walking across the stage as the principal called my name. In that moment I viewed myself as a new person ready to take on the world, though intimidated by all it had to offer. I still view myself in a similar way, I am still new to the world of freedom from school as I travel and experience the very things I was intimidated by just a few months earlier. I now view myself as more prepared for practical problems I may face in life and obstacles to success. In a broader sense, my worldview has changed; I had not been out of the country prior to my gap year and now I have been to two countries across the world with another one scheduled. I truly realize now how diverse and different each place is and how everywhere is unique in its own way.
