Day-To-Day Life: August 25, 2022

My day-to-day life right now is pretty mundane as I have not yet left for my travels (2 more weeks!). I wake up around 7:30 A.M. and take my sister to school, then I go back home and spend the day preparing for my 10 week backpacking expedition with Pacific Discovery. This includes cleaning the camping gear, washing the new cold weather clothes I bought, reviewing flight and program papers, and trying to figure out how I am going to fit my entire life for 10 weeks inside of a single large backpack! Around 2 P.M. I leave to pickup my sister, she doesn’t get out of school for another hour or so but I like to be the first in car-line that way she doesn’t have to sit in the heat and wait. I spend the next hour sitting in the car working on my chrome book or face timing friends who have just moved into their college dorms. Once we get home, my sister and I spend about two hours together either doing homework or playing board games before dinner. After dinner my family gets together to watch an episode of Stranger Things, then an episode of Survivor, as they are our favorite shows. Once finished with the episodes, I go to my room and journal since I am trying to get in the habit of doing so because it is going to be a program requirement once I leave. Journaling was my last activity for the day so I get ready for bed to do it all again tomorrow. Goodnight!
