Kaitlyn O’Connor’s Blog Post

This week, we are spotlighting Kaitlyn O’Connor! She is a second-year UROP Colloquium Leader for the 2021-2022 academic year. Kaitlyn writes, “This will be my final semester at Florida State, and I will be graduating this spring with a degree in English Education as well as a minor in Psychology!”

Although Kaitlyn is not currently involved in any research here at Florida State, she is passionate about research in general and hopes to one day partake in research in the field of Education after she graduates.

Kaitlyn states that UROP has had a great impact on her extracurricular involvement and desire to take on leadership positions in her time here at FSU. She writes, “UROP helped me to expand my leadership opportunities and helped me grow as a leader.”

In writing about being a UROP Leader and getting students involved in the research, Kaitlyn expresses that her greatest goal for the upcoming spring semester of UROP is “to help students get more involved on campus outside of UROP, and aid them in growing their research skills.”

Thanks for your hard work, Kaitlyn! We are so happy to have you as a UROP Leader! #FSU_UROP
