This summer, I’m focusing on growth in both my project and personal self. I am working on starting a small-scale community health initiative, shadow a new department at TMH, expand on my research, and finally commit to journaling regularly. These goals help me blend my practical experiences with self-reflection and help me connect deeper with the people I’m serving. I’m also working on improving my oral communication and adaptability, which are both critical skills that I will continue to expand through patient interactions, research, and navigating through my academics, all of which are essential to a clinical setting and, more importantly, a future in medicine. A quote that captures how I’m feeling is from Albert Einstein: “The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know.” It reminds me to stay humble, curious, and open to learning from every experience.
