Meet Luis!

Hey! My name is Luis Acosta from Miami, I am a first year majoring in Cell and Molecular
Neuroscience. Over the summer, I am volunteering at the Alzheimer’s Project, a respite center,
where caregivers drop off the patients so that they are able to enjoy the day and socialize with
friends. I am utilizing this experience to allow myself to understand the effects of not only
Alzheimer’s Disease, but also the effects on the caregivers. I am feeling very excited, I just hope
that the Alzheimer’s Project allow me to interview cergivers so that I can understand the
psychological effects caregiving has.
