Hi and welcome to my first month at Camp Boggy Creek! My transition here was much smoother than expected. Truly it is like I am at summer camp even though I am an adult. The kids have not arrived yet – the first month is orientation and bond building so the staff can work together effectively. I was very worried at first that I would not be able to make friends. But my worries quickly vanished when I walked into the orientation dining hall and a very nice group of camp counselors offered me a seat at their table. I work about 40 hours a week but sometimes it doesn’t even feel like work. Yesterday we had service dogs come for a mental health reset day! What an amazing place I get to work and make new friends!
