Hello everyone! My name is Wiliam Gragg, and I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at FSU and enjoy creative side-pursuits such as photography, videography, and design. I am originally from Kansas City, Missouri, and moved to Tallahassee a year ago to start my academic career at FSU. Before moving to Tallahassee, I spent my freshman year a part of the FSU First Year Abroad Program where I got the opportunity to study in Valencia, Spain, and Florence, Italy. Pursuing an undergraduate out of state and studying abroad led me to the Global Scholars Program, which will enable me to obtain the TEFL Certificate this summer. In addition to the TEFL Certificate, I am committed to helping the CIES students in their acquisition of intensive English. Both of these ventures will serve as a ticket into the world of language tutoring inside and outside of the US, which I am excited for. Lastly, I am forming a new RSO by the name of S.L.A.N.G. (Second Language Acquisition Network Group) in the Fall of 2024 and will use my TEFL background and ties to the CIES program to jumpstart this Org. I am hoping to create or add to a tight-knit group of individuals who can casually practice their alternative languages in a fun and informal manner. I know that there may already exist tools for individuals interested in promoting the acquisition of additional languages in themselves and others, but I want to improve upon the pre-existing network. I believe SLANG can tie all of the modern language clubs at FSU together to create a migratory hub of language learning activities and experiences.
Additionally, I am signing up for the ERP certificate and will follow the required steps for the course. Again I apologize for my delay and lack of communication; I will improve.
