My Summer Experience

My experience this summer was definitely different than what I had expected. When I first picked the TEFL program for my summer experience, I thought it would be just like taking another summer class but I was surprised about how hands-on the experience really was. I worked one on one with more people than expected and got to learn so much about other world cultures. This shaped my view of the world entirely and made me understand how different, and how surprisingly similar, some places around the world are. This has helped me solidify my CapStone project by increasing my interest in studying English as a global language. This experience has made me even more interested in the role English plays in other world cultures and how linguistics take part in it all.
