The Culture of Mentoring

I have surrounded myself with a cultural environment that revolves around helping youth through mentorship. I feel like since I have not been in an environment of child teaching I have entered a community I have not been in for a really long time. I have also not been a mentor before, so I am entering a new role of being a guide to someone’s life. This experience has reshaped my concept of community as I now see a new perspective of a community of mentors who want to strengthen their community by helping children realize their potential and build their futures.
