What resonates with me even more after this experience is how 3rd world countries continuously are given an unfair shake. I’ve known that they are given unfair disadvantages as my parents are from 3rd world countries, but living in one and speaking with other students that had grown up and studied in them really pulled the wool from my eyes. As higher education is not only hard to get into but the access to most things is substantially limited. A story that others should know from my experience is that every person’s experience is different, as while some people are given and have greater access to some things in the US it isn’t true for everyone and access can be varied to even those that are close to one another.
I lined up my draft to include more of a general focus across the country with some specifications on cities and tourist-like areas such as the capital, Manuel Antonio, Cartago, and other attractions.
