Adios a Costa Rica

This experience as a whole was a very complicated and messy situation. However even with all the ups and downs I thoroughly enjoyed it and would do it again in a heartbeat if given the choice, though a more streamlined process would have been nice.

The capstone for the summer experience has been shifted entirely, I’ve shifted from an agricultural focus on the farmers and those involved with cacao production to an economic and countrywide focus. This is because of how expensive the country of Costa Rica is due to eco tourism, which has resulted in extremely inflated prices to their own citizens. In addition to this focus being more focused on the entire country it was much more doable as we were unable to really speak with many farmers as we only visited in small moments and had little interactions other than those. One monkey wrench that will be thrown into this shifted capstone would be that it is slightly contained as we had resided in a city and were surrounded by many universities, both of which may have influenced the inflation prices of goods for citizens.
