This week, I started my Capstone Draft. The draft has been extremely helpful in organizing and gathering my thoughts for the final project. My capstone is about refugee integration in the United States, examining how diversity and sociocultural support is crucial to successful integration.
Besides my Capstone, I have been reading a lot of news to further my reading comprehension skills for the upcoming LSAT test. Recently, I read an article (TW: Violence) about violence in a refugee camp in Lebanon, forcing refugees to flee. I noticed that stories like these are not talked about in mainstream news, even though violence like this impacts hundreds of thousands of people. According to the news article, over 2,000 people were forced to flee. Reading news like this helps put my capstone project into perspective.
