Week 7

This week was the last week of TEFL. We took hour final exam, had our final presentations, and now class is officially over. CIES threw a party to celebrate the end of the session. Everyone brought traditional dishes from their country. I brought apple pie and my Professor brought a Korean dish called tteokbokki, it was delicious. During the party, each of the CIES students who were graduating went up one at a time to receive their certificates. It was so endearing to hear all the wonderful things the professors said about them. Then each student had the opportunity to give a little speech. It was so inspiring to hear their stories and their motivations to learn english. TEFL has taught me so much about the world but also myself. I’ve realized how much I love teaching and I hope to continue to be involved in the ESL community. It has been such a wonderful experience this summer. Also, the capstone project is going well!
