Summer is coming to an end

As summer is coming to a close, I have gained so many different experiences and have met so many different people that have helped me develop into who I am today. Despite the fact that I started volunteering at Second Harvest a few months ago, the amount of people and the amount of time put in has made me realize how grateful I am to be able to help people out without getting the recognition for it! To be surrounded by so many like-minded people, it truly brings out the best in me.

However, my time at Second Harvest is not done, where I plan to continue to volunteer until I graduate at FSU. The impact and joy that Second Harvest has on me is so grand, where I truly have the biggest smile on my face when I am there.

As summer does come to a close, I will actually be starting my second experience, where I will be completing the CCMA course at the Health Science Consulting Center, to become a Medical Assistant. This is a week long course, totaling up to 40 hours, of learning different skills like starting an IV, drawing blood, and etc. I cannot wait to start this second half of my summer experience, where it will give me a look into my future and further my goals!

Can’t wait to see you next week!
