A day in my life starts with me waking up at around 10 am in the morning. I try to have some breakfast soon and get ready after taking a shower. Because of all the traveling for my project, there is barely any typical day in life.
This day, that I’ll describe, I was going to meet Prabh Deep, one of the biggest names in the Indian independent music scene. I was in Karwar, Karnataka staying near South Goa, because my aunt lived there. To save some living expenses, I have been trying to live at my relatives’ places. I moved to an Airbnb in South Goa in the afternoon. Prabh Deep lives in North Goa. That would be a 3-hour drive from South Goa. After adjusting all my luggage in my new room, I went out to have some food. I went to an amazing cafe named Sabor Cafe that had amazing coffee. In the cafe, I also revised the questions I’d be asking Prabh later in the evening. He had invited me to a resort in the middle of the jungle 40 mins up the hill from the main city. My driver took me to that place, but he warned me I wouldn’t get any reception up there and there would not be any available cabs for me to book to come down at night.
As I reached the place, I shortly found Prabh walking through the door as well. We had the interview. I got to learn a lot from him as an independent artist myself. And then he invited me to his place for dinner. We jammed in his studio for some time and his mom cooked us some amazing food. Later in the night, he called for a cab for me to drop me back at my Airbnb. As soon as I reached home, I crashed into bed!
PS: Prabh Deep has literally been an Idol for me for the past 2 years. Meeting him like this was a dream come true! I also think it was the most successful interview to date!
