Routine

Currently, I have successfully completed my CNA training and my focus is primarily on volunteering, studying, and adhering to my usual summer work schedule. My daily routine varies depending on the specific activities planned for the day.

During the days dedicated to CNA training, I would attend the training program from 8 am to 2 pm. Once I returned home, I would typically dedicate my time to studying and preparing for the upcoming CNA exam.

When I engage in volunteering, my day usually begins around 9 am at the BEAM location. I assist in stocking the pantry before customers arrive, allowing them to “shop” for their desired items. Tasks involve organizing the fridge, arranging fresh produce, and replenishing pantry supplies. I have even assisted with packing senior boxes, which are based on the needs of a specific senior citizen in the Jacksonville beach area. On days when I work in the garden, my responsibilities include harvesting fruits and vegetables, transporting them to the pantry, and tending to the cultivation of beds for future crops that will be planted in the fall. I generally conclude my shift around 1 pm. Following volunteering, I may babysit, dedicate time to my chemistry course, or study for my CNA exam.

When I work at the boutique, my shifts typically run from 10 am to 6 pm. Before starting my work, I enjoy taking walks on the beach. After work, I focus on my chemistry course and review clinical skills relevant to my CNA training.

This week, I have an exciting opportunity to shadow a Pediatric pulmonologist in Atlanta. My hours will be from 8 am to 2 pm, and I will have the chance to observe and learn in both a hospital and private clinic setting.
