Costa Rica, Caco, and Structural Inequalities

Structural inequalities that keep popping up while here in Costa Rica is the inequalities that are present due to the tourism that is present here in Costa Rica. This can be seen extensively when it comes to the prices of foods and other commodities which more often than not cost more than they would in Florida. This can also be seen when it comes to migrant labor who come from neighboring Nicaragua and Panama who come to work for money but return back to their countries to use the funds, especially when it comes to farm labor with cacao and other products.

As such my Capstone will look into the major discrepancies that exist in farm labor and conditions as it is not isolated to just Costa Rica but also to communities that depend on agricultural exports.
