The transition from classes to back to back research preparation has been arduous at best and draining at worst. It has been an experience in having to learn all that I can in a field that I know absolutely nothing about, however even though the learning curve has been enormous it has been such a delight and fun to learn so much new things that I previously did not know.
The first few days of arriving in Costa Rica we had spent it researching, coming up with questions, and learning about what we can physically and actually do here with the resources at our disposal. Following that we had a minor overnight trip to some farms in Costa Rica where we learned the processes that they used here in Costa Rica in fermentation and processing, also excitedly we also got to visit some chocolatiers.
