Adel: Week One

My name is Adel Bebe. I’m starting my 2nd-year at Florida State University majoring in Chemical Engineering. I have been involved in CARE’s SSS-STEM program and the CRE’s Florida-Georgia Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation program (FGLSAMP), in addition to the National Society of Black Engineers. Through FGLSAMP I’ve been able to talk with minority faculty and grad students, in addition to volunteer at community events like FSU Math Day and the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory’s Open House.

I have just started working as an intern with Domi Station, one of the three business incubators that is collaborating with the Tech Fellows program. For my first project, I’ll be working to conduct a market analysis, along with a deep dive, into the biotechnology companies connected with Domi Station. My research project focuses on “disruptive innovation” and what role it might play within Florida’s biomedical startups.BB
